Preborn children never NEED to be aborted

The senior legal analyst at Rewire News, Imani Gandy, recently tweeted the following:

Imani Gandy

I’m pro-abortion. If someone needs an abortion, I’m pro-them getting one.

We really must stop stigmatizing abortion. https://twitter.com/TimForgot/status/894295166453899264

These pro-abortion enthusiasts really take their irrational zeal to a new level sometimes.

When does anybody ever need an abortion?

Imani Gandy might be surprised to learn that, in 2013, Rewire published an article about former surgeon general C. Everett Koop. The author of that article acknowledges that Koop was a “man of science” who “put science before personal ideology.” Koop, whom Rewire called a “man of science,” said the following about needing an abortion: “[p]rotection of the life of the mother as an excuse for abortion is a smoke screen. In my 36 years of pediatric surgery, I have never known of one instance where the child had to be aborted to save the mother’s life” (see here).

Killing a preborn child is never a medical necessity; it is always an unspeakable atrocity and travesty of justice. Abortion is a barbaric practice that bears a stigma of its very nature. Despite their incessant efforts to “stop stigmatizing abortion,” pro-abortion enthusiasts like Imani Gandy will never succeed in destigmatizing something that cannot be destigmatized.

Abortion bears a stigma—and always will—because it is nothing other than the merciless killing of a preborn child.
